Skulls of World War II soldiers surfaced from the blasting of the Kahovka Dam

The devastation caused by its explosion is enormous dam Kakhovka in Ukraine and according to testimonies, they were unearthed skulls soldiers who lost their lives in World War II.

Unverified footage is circulating online, while the news was relayed by the agency Reuters.

According to Guardianexperts believe that the remains may belong to soldiers who were killed in a battle that took place 80 years ago in the area around Nikopol and Kamianka-Dniprovska.

The situation at the dam

The demining team leader, Oleksandr Chechkosaid the water level at the site has dropped by about four meters.

He also reported that the strike on the dam was probably made by S-300 missile of the soviet era. However, this fact does not prevent Russia-Ukraine recriminations over which side is responsible.

According to Reuters, these missiles are used by both countries even now, so it is difficult to ascertain whether it is Ukrainian sabotage, or a Russian detonation to stop a Ukrainian counterattack.
