The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition goes on sale today for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This is a re-release of the original The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, released exactly 10 years ago. The developers call the edition “the most definitive version of Skyrim to date.”
This edition contains the Skyrim Special Edition and over 500 portions of additional content from the Creation Club, which is Bethesda’s microtransaction store containing carefully curated mods from developers and fans. The included Creation Club content will bring new quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells and more. Like add-ons from Bethesda itself, Creation Club content is considered an official add-on and includes achievements, unlike regular mods.
As a bonus, Bethesda will also provide all current Skyrim Special Edition owners and Game Pass subscribers with the Fishing, Survival Mode and Saints and Seducers mods from the Creation Club for free.
