The Alagoas Civil Police arrested, on the morning of Friday (16), the man Suspected of murdering five people in a residence in the municipality of Estrela de Alagoas in the interior of the state. It was located in the vicinity of Palmeira dos Índios, during a joint work of security forces.
According to the State Department of Public Security (SSP-AL), the arrest was the result of an anonymous complaint received by the Denunciation Dial.
The victims were identified as José Rodrigues Machado Filho, 73; Lice Souza da Silva, 53; João José da Silva, 56 years old; José Carlos da Silva, 53; and Maria Elizete do Carmo, 56 years old.
The bodies were found in two bedrooms and in the kitchen of the property on Thursday (15). Everyone died after being hit by knife blows.
According to investigations, the group met to consume alcohol. One of the women who attended the meeting left around 9 pm. Her husband, who would be the arrested suspect, would have gone to look for her at the scene, had a jealous crisis not to find her, and then committed the murders.
Investigations indicate that there is no relationship with drug trafficking or acting of criminal factions. SSP-AL treats the case as an isolated crime, motivated by personal reasons.
The suspect was sent to the Palmeira dos Índios Public Security Integrated Center (CISP), where he is available to the courts. The Civil Police must conduct a press conference to publicize more details about the crime.
