On March 19, 2024, the trading volume of the Solana-based Slerf memecoin (SLERF) crossed the $2.1 billion mark, and the asset capitalization is $395 million, according to CoinGecko. Note that this cryptocurrency exists for just over 24 hours.
IN CoinDesk reported that 130,000 traders made about 800,000 trades in the SLERF/USD pair. On the decentralized exchange Raydium, the token trading volume amounted to more than $1.3 billion.
Experts noted that this figure began to increase after the news that the SLERF developer burned the tokens intended for the airdrop. Subsequently, the asset was placed on the cryptocurrency exchanges Bitget, BingX, MEXC, HTX and others.
Also later, the Slerf team opened a fundraiser to pay compensation to presale participants. Some of the above-mentioned crypto exchanges have joined this initiative. At the moment it was possible collect 2672 SOL worth almost $500 million.
