Slovenia “blocked” Israel: banned imports from Israeli settlements of the West Bank

Slovenia today announced a ban on imports from Israeli settlements on the occupied West Bank as a “response to Israeli government policy that undermines the prospect of achieving sustainable peace”. “Its actions are serious and repetitive violations of international humanitarian law,” the Slovenian government statement said. Slovenia “cannot be a link to a chain that closes its eyes” in “illegal erections, expropriations and displacements,” the same statement said. The government also reviews the “ban on exports of goods intended for illegal settlements” and will decide on the matter later.
