Slovenia will again send diplomats to Kyiv

A few days after his unexpected visit to the Ukrainian capital, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janes Jansa, announced that his country’s diplomats would return to Kyiv.

“Ukraine needs immediate diplomatic support and Slovenian diplomats will be in Kyiv soon,” Jansa said on Twitter.

“We are working for the EU to do the same,” he added.

He assured that the diplomats who will return to Kyiv will do so voluntarily.

The Slovenian ambassador and staff who left Kyiv, as well as diplomats from many other countries when the war broke out, will return to the Ukrainian capital later this week, the Balkan television network reported.

Mr Jansa traveled to Ukraine last Tuesday with his Polish and Czech counterparts. The three prime ministers met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and their counterpart Dennis Smigal.
