Five people were injured early this Monday afternoon (12) after a small plane crashed in Teresina (PI). The aircraft lost control and crashed into a football field in the North Zone of the city.
According to information from the Fire Department, the single-engine plane, prefix PT-RHJ, model EMB-711ST, had just taken off from Senador Petrônio Portela Airport, where it had landed for refueling, when it lost support. It was necessary to make a forced landing on the Bariri football field, in the Vila Operária neighborhood.
The flight departed from Fortaleza (CE) and was heading to Araguaina (TO). Pilot Arcedino Concesso Pereira Filho, 36 years old, was accompanied by his wife Juliana Bento Plácido, 33 years old, mother-in-law Maria Graci Bento da Silva and two children, aged 16 and 4 years old. All occupants were rescued alive, with no fractures or more serious injuries.
The aircraft was in the custody of CCR, the company that manages Teresina airport, for technical procedures.
This was the second plane crash recorded in the capital of Piauà in less than 24 hours. On Sunday afternoon (11) a small aircraft crashed in a forested area near Parque Encontro dos Rios, also in the north of the city.
Two people were rescued after the accident: pilot Marcelo Nogueira Ramos, soldier of the Military Police of Ceará, and co-pilot Jhony Francisco Alves dos Santos. They had no serious injuries.
