Smart Working: extended until July 31, but perhaps also until September

There is the certainty of the extension until July 31 of smart working in the decree on reopening in force since 26 April. Until that date, the state of emergency will be extended and consequently also the possibility of activating remote work for companies even in the absence of dedicated legislation. The agile emergency work therefore continues beyond the deadline at the end of April, certainly until 31 July, probably also until September.

In the decree should be extended the rule that allows companies to use smart working without having to sign a specific agreement as required by law 81 of 2017. With an active state of emergency, companies can resort to agile work without bargaining.

The certain date is July 31, but it could be as late as September aiming for that month to achieve greater vaccination coverage of the population and therefore a possible return to normality, even in the office, for the autumn. The extension until the end of the summer would also help companies to have time for an internal reorganization. It is possible that agile work enters firmly into the plans of companies, but to do so, agreements with employees and internal restructuring are required.

As for the public administration, the minister Renato Brunetta he has already said that public offices will use smart working “only if it improves work organization, work efficiency and increases customer satisfaction”. There will be only if these three requirements are met, “otherwise you will return to the workplace”.

For the summer there are many to hypothesize a form of holiday working: smart working done by holiday resorts. The research, according to what it reports The sun 24 hours with a photograph taken by the Italianway Study Center, it is towards small villages, smaller towns and houses for rent. 35% of the 43 thousand nights booked from January 1st to April 15th tell of an average stay of 19 nights.
