The TECNO brand announced the start of sales in Russia of the Camon 19 series of smartphones. It includes three models: Camon 19 Neo, Camon 19 and Camon 19 Pro. The latter two feature Samsung’s large 64MP RGBW camera sensor, which increases light absorption by 208%. Smartphones are made in a single design and even managed to receive an award at the iF Design Award 2022 in the Outstanding Product Design category. The flagship model is interesting in that its body is covered with 200 million sparkling particles that prevent fingerprints.
TECNO Camon 19 and Camon 19 Neo
The lower-end models in the lineup are equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, which is paired with 6 GB (Camon 19 Neo has a 4 GB version) of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The screen is a 6.8-inch FHD+ display. Responsible for autonomy is a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 18 watts.
The photo and video capabilities of Camon 19 and Camon 19 Neo are different. The first model received a 64-megapixel RGBW sensor, and the second – a 48-megapixel one. Nevertheless, the Neo has a better selfie camera – 32 MP versus 16 MP for the basic version. Both smartphones run Android 12 operating system.
TECNO Camon 19 Pro
The flagship of the line has received improvements in many aspects. The screen is the same, but with an extended color gamut, TÜV Rheinland certification and a 120Hz refresh rate. Processor – MediaTek Helio G96 with Mali-G57 MC2 video accelerator. The RAM in the smartphone is 8 GB, the permanent memory can be 128 or 256 GB (only the 8/128 GB version will be available for the Russian market).
A triple camera with modules of 64, 50 and 2 megapixels is responsible for photo and video. The main sensor uses RGBW technology, which replaces the G (green) sub-pixel with a W (white) sub-pixel, and one of the plastic lenses is replaced with glass. The sensor system processes light similarly to the human eye, and thanks to the increased light absorption, the camera shoots well in the dark. The 5000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging.
TECNO Camon 19 Neo, Camon 19 and Camon 19 PRO will go on sale on July 18th. The first will cost 16,990 rubles, the second – 17,990 rubles, and the third – 21,990 rubles.
