Google Pixel smartphone users are reporting a new bug that silently changes ringtones, alarms, and notification sounds.
Users of Reddit and other forums write that they were very surprised to hear unfamiliar sounds coming from their Google phones. Google started rolling out the April update a week ago, and that may have caused this error to appear.

9to5Google reports that a Pixel 6 Pro smartphone running Android 12 QPR3 Beta 1.1 also has this bug. At the same time, for various events, such sounds are set that the user himself could not select, for example, the sound of starting a video recording, putting the smartphone on charge, and so on.
It is also reported that some users cannot find their old ringtone. That is, this bug can also erase user-installed melodies.
So far, the problem is manifesting itself on Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 6. It remains to wait for Google to release the next update.
