Honor today officially unveiled the flagship smartphones of the Magic line – Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro. It should be noted that the details about these new products that appeared the day before were fully confirmed.
“Honor Magic4 — it is the quintessence of innovative technology and an undeniable testament to our commitment to continually challenge industry standards”, said the head of Honor, George Zhao, introducing the new items. Indeed, unlike the models of the Honor 50 and Honor 60 series, there are no compromises here – everything is as it should be for flagships.
The novelties are built on SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and are equipped with curved OLED screens made using LTPO technology. The panels are characterized by a diagonal of 6.81 inches, a resolution of 2664 x 1224 pixels, a maximum brightness of 1000 cd / m2 and coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. Magic 4 Pro received a 12-megapixel front camera, supplemented by a second module, which is responsible for analyzing the depth of the scene. Magic 4 also has a 12-megapixel front camera, but without an additional module. Honor notes that the PWM frequency of Magic 4 screens is 1920 Hz, which is the highest rate for displays made using LTPO technology.
Under-display fingerprint scanners based on second-generation Qualcomm ultrasonic sensors. The older model is protected from dust and water in accordance with the degree of IP68, the protection of the younger one is simpler – IP54. Both smartphones run Android 12 with Magic UI 6.0.
The main cameras of both smartphones are very large, the company calls them the “eye of the muse”. There are four modules in the Magic 4 Pro camera. The first is with a 50MP 1/1.56″ optical format sensor and a wide-angle lens, the second is with a 50MP 1/2.5″ optical format sensor and a 122° ultra wide-angle lens, and the third is with a 64MP sensor optical format 1/2 inch and a periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital. Finally, the fourth module is the 3D ToF camera.
In Honor Magic 4, the two main modules are the same as in the older model. The third is with an 8-megapixel sensor, 5x optical and 50x digital zoom.
Honor Magic 4 Pro received a 4600 mAh battery that supports 100 W charging both wired and wirelessly. In Honor Magic 4, the battery capacity was 4800 mAh, and the maximum charging power was 66 watts. At the top, each model has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory.
The Magic 4 is priced at €900 in Europe for the 8GB RAM and 256GB flash version. Magic 4 Pro with the same amount of memory is priced at 1100 euros.
