Oppo today finally officially unveiled the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro flagship smartphones. And there are many surprises here. You should start with the fact that they received three single-chip systems for two. The base Oppo Find X5 is built on the SoC Snapdragon 888, and the Find X5 Pro is presented in two versions – on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000. In the second case, there is only one memory configuration (12/256 GB) and a number of simplifications. In particular, there is no proprietary NPU AmriSilicon X, whose capabilities are widely used to improve photos and videos, and there is also no 5-axis optical stabilization in the camera. This option is priced at $910.

The regular Oppo Find X5 has three configurations: 8/128GB $630, 8/256GB $690, 12/256GB $755. This model received a 6.55-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels at a frame rate, IP54 protection, a 4800 mAh battery with support for 80 W wired charging and 30 W wireless power.

Oppo Find X5 Pro is also available in three configurations: 8/256GB – $950, 12/256GB – $990, 12/512GB – $1070. This model is equipped with a Samsung OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels and a frame rate of 120 Hz. The battery capacity was 5000 mAh, it supports 80 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. Degree of protection of a cover — IP68.

In terms of cameras, Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro do not have any differences. The two main sensors – 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 1/1.56-inch optical format – are paired with wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses, respectively. The former employs an advanced 5-axis stabilization system that combines a stabilized lens and sensor-shift stabilization. It (in combination with electronic stabilization) works both when shooting photos and when shooting video. As for the ultra-wide-angle lens, it doesn’t really stand out. Viewing angle – 110 °.

The third module is with a 13 MP sensor and a 52 mm telephoto lens (due to the difference in focal lengths, a 2x optical zoom is provided). A 5x hybrid zoom is also provided.
Speaking of the camera, a lot of attention was paid to NPU MariSilicon. This 6nm chip powers the intelligent noise reduction system and is also behind the 4K Ultra Night Video mode shown below. The company claims that MariSilicon made it possible to expand the dynamic range by four times compared to the Find X3 Pro.

The front camera of the Find X5 Pro uses a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with an RGBW array, which captures 60% more light due to this structure. Interestingly, the front camera also relies on NPU MariSilicon for its work. The viewing angle of the front camera is 90°.
The front camera of the Oppo Find X5 is also with a 32-megapixel sensor, but already simpler – Sony IMX615. The viewing angle here is less – 81 °.

New items are running Android 12 with a proprietary interface ColorOS 12.1. As you can see from the pictures above, the Oppo Find X5 is already available for order in Europe, with the Find X5 Pro pre-order starting March 14th. The price is 1000 and 1300 euros for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory, respectively.
