New details about the promising Meizu 18 smartphone have appeared on the Web, and, judging by them, the new product will not be able to compete on equal terms with other flagships, at least in terms of performance. This is due to the fact that instead of Snapdragon 888, a simpler platform is indicated – Snapdragon 870.

As you know, the Snapdragon 870 is, in fact, a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865, so the performance of the Meizu 18 will be closer to the Meizu 17 than, say, to the Xiaomi Mi 11 or OnePlus 9. The amount of RAM is a moderate 8 GB, flash memory – 256 GB. Android 11 is used as the OS – and this is logical for the new model. The main camera is assigned three sensors with a resolution of 64, 12 and 5 megapixels. Apparently, in terms of the camera, Meizu will also give way to Mi 11.
When the premiere of Meizu 18 will take place is not reported, but the company has planned some important announcement tomorrow morning. The news is rumored to be related to Flyme’s proprietary firmware.
