Oppo has officially announced that the new Oppo Watch 2 will be officially unveiled at an event in China on July 27.
In May, XDA Developers announced the existence of a 46mm version of the Oppo Watch 2, which will be available in three colors such as Dust Gray, Mine Shaft and Steel Blue. As for the 42mm version of the Oppo Watch 2, it will be released in Mine Shaft, Gold Sand, Water Leaf and Matisse colors.
The company’s first smartwatches were built on the Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC and ran the Wear OS operating system in global markets. In China, they were equipped with ColorOS.
The Oppo Watch 2 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC and an optional Apollo 4s chip. It is also expected to have 16 GB of internal flash memory, that is, twice as much as its predecessor.
The Oppo Watch 2 will likely have a square watch face like its predecessor. The watch is expected to bring new watch faces, stress detection functionality, a new Oppo Relax app, and LTE support via eSIM.
