But the first company to officially announce its readiness to use Armv9 was Samsung. The Korean giant tweeted that, along with Arm, he expects to see the new architecture underpinning a wide range of innovations for the next generation SoC Exynos. This, by the way, means that Samsung is not going to abandon its own platforms.

It is not yet clear when the first platforms based on the new architecture will come out, but it took three years from the announcement of Armv8 to the release of the first corresponding consumer SoCs. However, since then, the time required to introduce new Cortex cores has been significantly reduced.
