Social Tourism Program: The temporary tables of Beneficiaries and Providers have been posted

The temporary tables of Beneficiaries – Beneficiaries, Providers of Tourist Accommodation and Ferry Tickets and Excluded from the Social Tourism Program 2022-2023 of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) were posted today, at the electronic address:

https://www.dypa.gov.gr/koinonikos-toyrismos?tab=koinonikos-toyrismos-2022-2023

The temporary lists of beneficiaries concern 300,000 social tourism checks. It is noted that this year more than 532,000 applications were submitted for almost 1 million checks, marking a record of interest, while 1,500 tourist accommodations declared participation.

Beneficiaries and providers who submitted an online application for participation have the right to submit a single objection against the results from Monday 11 July at 15:00 until Wednesday 13 July at 18:00.

The appeal is submitted exclusively electronically through the Unified Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov.gr) at the address:

https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/anergia

Beneficiaries who file an electronic appeal must:
-they have first checked if they themselves are responsible for the incorrect result, due to incorrect completion of the application, by referring to it with the access codes in the system

– state the reason for the objection (e.g. incorrect scoring, non-issuance of a check for a beneficiary child) and

– substantiate their claims, by attaching supporting documents by electronic scanning, in accordance with the terms of the Public Invitation.

Providers who file an electronic complaint must substantiate their claims by attaching to their electronically scanned complaint supporting evidence.

Objections that are not submitted electronically will not be considered.

The Social Tourism program will “run” during the period August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023. Its budget is 35 million euros – an amount increased by 5 million euros compared to the program for the period 2021-2022. This is a particularly enhanced and attractive program this year, both for beneficiaries and providers, as it is characterized by reduced to zero private participation for beneficiaries in the cost of overnight stays in tourist accommodation and increased subsidized prices for providers.

This year’s increased subsidy prices apply to all categories of accommodation (5%-12% in hotels and 3% – 8% in rooms for rent), in order to cover the increased costs and ensure a large participation. In addition, for the peak month of August, a 20% increase in the subsidy is foreseen, just like last year, so that there will be a greater participation of tourist businesses in this particular period. The increase will be valid for the whole year for the accommodations of North Evia and Samos.

Beneficiaries and beneficiaries can spend up to 6 nights in a tourist accommodation they choose from the DYPA “Register of Providers” after their direct consultation with the provider. Especially for accommodations in Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos and in the prefecture of Evros, up to 10 nights can be spent with zero private participation, while in the accommodations of the Municipalities of Istiaia-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Ag. Annas of N. Evia and Samos can take place up to 12 nights completely free of charge.

In addition to accommodation in tourist accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidised. The participation of the general category of beneficiaries amounts to 25%, of those with many children to 20%. For the disabled, the ferry tickets are available free of charge.

It is recalled that the beneficiaries of last year’s program who have not yet activated the checks can take vacations until July 31, 2022.
