Solana has an update

The Solana blockchain developers have released version 1.17.31 update, which is designed to solve the problem of network congestion.

“Update version 1.17.31 is now recommended for general use by MainnetBeta validators. This release contains improvements that will help reduce the current congestion on the Solana network,” the team said in a statement.

Between April 4 and April 5, 2024, approximately 77% of transactions on the Solana network were not completed. Presumably this was due to the hype around memoins.

Already on April 9, blockchain developers announced that they intended to solve the problem with non-fulfillment of transactions on April 15, 2024. However, they noted that the date of implementation of the fixes may be postponed during testing of a future update. Then the team explained that the reason for periodic data processing failures was the QUIC protocol.

At the time of writing, Solana coin (SOL) is trading around $154.
