The reasons why sun protection is used are mainly linked to the preventing wrinkles or spots, 23% of Italians say it. While 36% use it only to avoid burning. A healthier approach was detected in 41 % that uses it to prevent skin problems, such as skin tumors, allergies or sensitivity to the sun. But only 9% have a more complete routine and knows and takes solar supplements for photoprotection.

On a global level 47% use vitamin D supplements, a percentage that rises to 55% among women and drops to 35% among men, although in both cases it is not a negative fact.
