Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday welcomed the $61 billion US aid package to Ukraine that was signed today. “No matter what anyone says, we are getting the support we need to continue to protect lives from Russian attacks,” he said in a post on X. US President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed into law legislation that would granted $61 billion in aid to Ukraine for its war with Russia, noting that the law “provides vital support to America's partners to defend against threats to their national sovereignty,” while announcing that military hardware would being sent to Ukraine “within the next few hours”.
