The next film starring Daisy Ridley known for working in the franchise of Star Wars it already has a date to arrive in Brazil. “Sometimes I Want to Disappear” premieres in Brazilian cinemas on May 23 .
The film, which participated in the Official Selection of the Sundance Festival in January this year, mixes romance, humor and sensitivity to address themes such as loneliness and difficulty connecting.
Set in a quiet coastal town in the USA, the story follows in the footsteps of Fran (Daisy Ridley), a very shy young woman who sees her routine change when she feels the desire to get to know a new co-worker, Robert (Dave Merheje).
Between film sessions and dinners, the two grow closer, and soon the only barrier to a relationship will be Fran herself. The arrival of the new employee puts the young woman on a journey of self-discovery, about how to be a person in the world and how to deal with others.

Directed by Rachel Lambert , the film is inspired by the play “Killers” by Kevin Armento, who wrote the script with Stefanie Abel Horowitz and Katy Wright-Mead.
