The British band The Cure launched, this Friday (1st), its first album of new songs in 16 years : “Songs of a Lost World” .
Two singles from the group’s new work, which has been active for over 40 years, had already been released since the announcement of a new album in September – “Alone” and “A Fragile Thing”.
“Songs of a Lost World” becomes the band’s 15th studio album, following 2008’s “4:13 Dream”. With eight tracks, the album is 49 minutes long. Check it out below:
To celebrate the release, the band will hold a show to play the new songs at the Troxy in London, England, which will be broadcast live from 5pm (Brasília time) on their YouTube channel. Watch below:
In December 2023, the band headlined the first edition of the Spanish Primavera Sound festival in São Paulo. The band performed a two and a half hour set.
Later this month, the keyboardist Roger O’Donnell declared that he was diagnosed last year with lymphatic cancer and that he has been undergoing treatment for 11 months.
