The pixel size is 3.45 microns. The optical format of the sensor is 3.6 inches. The IMX661 is nearly 10 times the size and resolution of the 1.1 ”optical format“ conventional image sensors ”primarily used in C-mount industrial cameras.

Pregius proprietary global shutter technology captures moving subjects without distortion. In addition, the original sensor configuration and high-speed interface allow images to be read at nearly four times the speed of “conventional sensors”. More specifically, a 127.68MP 10-bit image can be read 21.8 times per second. Using 12-bit representation lowers the frequency to 19.6 fps, and 14-bit down to 12.9 fps. The sensor is equipped with binning, multiple exposure and other functions that expand the possibilities of its application.

The sensor will be offered in color and black and white. The manufacturer promises to start shipping samples in April.
