Sony has announced the expansion of the PlayStation Studios development team to include Housemarque, which recently released the PlayStation 5-exclusive Returnal. The game was highly rated with an average score of 86/100 on Metacritic.

In total, the Finnish studio has created eight exclusive projects for Sony consoles, including Super Stardust HD for PlayStation 3, Super Stardust Portable for PlayStation Portable, Dead Nation for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Super Stardust Delta for PlayStation Vita, Resogun for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Alienation and Super Stardust Ultra VR for PlayStation 4.
