Sony has revealed that the launch of the new PlayStation Plus subscription service will take place earlier than it promised at the time of the announcement. In addition, the company has released an exact schedule with launch dates by region.
Recall that the new PlayStation Plus service was introduced at the end of March. Then it was announced that the service would be launched in June. Now Sony has announced that the new PlayStation Plus will be available a little earlier in some Asian regions and then Japan.
The fully updated distribution schedule for the new PlayStation Plus by region looks like this:
- Asian markets (excluding Japan) – Planned May 23, 2022
- Japan – Planned June 1, 2022
- America – Planned June 13, 2022
- Europe – Planned June 22, 2022
In addition, Sony will expand support for cloud computing and now these services will be available in 30 regions. Another innovation is that the list of countries where the PS Plus Premium senior plan will be available right at the start has expanded, adding Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, the Republic of Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
