On behalf of users of the new PlayStation 5, a class action lawsuit was filed against Sony in connection with a malfunction of the DualSense gamepad.

PlayStation 5 users soon after the start of sales of the console began to complain about the so-called “drift” of analog sticks DualSense – incorrect operation, “naughty” behavior, spontaneous “clicks” and so on.
The lawsuit was filed by the law firm Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (CSK & D) a few days ago – February 12, 2021 in the District Court of New York in the Southern District. The lawsuit alleges Sony is offering faulty DualSense controllers. It is noted that “this defect significantly interferes with the gameplay and thus jeopardizes the basic functions of the DualSense controller.”
Moreover, the lawsuit alleges that Sony was “all along” aware of the drift defect, as users complained online and directly to support, and the defect was identified during preliminary testing conducted by the company prior to sales.
Lawyers demand that Sony recall the controllers or launch a free replacement program, as well as indemnify gamers for moral damage.
