Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) revealed a new console this week: PlayStation 5 Pro .
According to the company’s announcement, the new model “aims to provide gamers with more enriching gaming experiences through super-sharp image clarity, high frame rate gameplay and advanced ray tracing.”
The PS5 Pro will be released in the United States on November 7, with pre-orders starting on September 26. The company’s suggested price is US$699.99 (around R$3,949.00). There is still no information about availability and price in Brazil.
The model has a 2TB SSD and includes a DualSense wireless controller, in addition to coming with the latest version of wireless technology, Wi-Fi 7.
Among the new features of the PS5 Pro are:
- Upgraded GPU with 67% more compute units than the current PS5 and 28% faster memory, enabling up to 45% faster rendering during gameplay;
- Advanced Ray Tracing that delivers more dynamic reflections and light refractions, more than twice as fast as the current PS5;
- AI-Driven Upscaling with machine learning-based PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution technology delivers super-sharp image clarity.
Sony also released a list of some of the games that will be able to take advantage of the exclusive features of the PS5 Pro: Alan Wake 2; Assassin’s Creed: Shadows; Demon’s Souls; Dragon’s Dogma 2; Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth; Gran Turismo 7; Hogwarts Legacy; Horizon Forbidden West; Marvel’s Spider-Man 2; Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart; The Crew Motorfest; The First Descendant; The Last of Us Part II Remastered, among others.
All titles playable on PlayStation 5 will also be playable on PS5 Pro, with the same interface.
Current accessories available for PS5 will also be compatible with PS5 Pro, including PlayStation®VR2, PlayStation Portal remote player, DualSense Edge wireless controllerAccess controllerPulse Elite Wireless Headset and Pulse Explore wireless headphones.
