Sony has announced a very useful update for the PlayStation 5. The PS Store has significantly improved the Wishlist feature with alerts to start discounts on games of interest.
PlayStation 5 users are required to enable push notifications for Wishlist Updates on the PS5 console and PlayStation App, and the new feature will help save money on game purchases.
Wishlist notifications also work for PS4, but since you cannot view the wishlist on the console itself, the only way to receive notifications in this case is to enable notifications in the PlayStation App on your mobile device.
Previously, a PS Store Wishlist would only issue warnings when games of interest were released or made available for pre-order. Thus, one could easily miss a discount on an interesting game.
