Sony has released a firmware update for the Sony RX0 II (DSC-RX0M2) Action Camera released in March 2019.
The 3.00 update adds USB Streaming, which allows you to connect the camera to a PC or Xperia smartphone using a USB cable and use it for live streaming and online chatting.
The manufacturer clarifies that connection is only possible with Xperia 1 II and Xperia 5 II smartphones, which have been updated to Android 11. The availability of the update depends on the region.
When connecting to a device with a USB Type-C port, you will need a separately purchased cable or adapter.
As usual, the update “improves overall camera stability and performance.”
