Sony sells fewer smartphones, but the remaining customers prefer increasingly expensive models. The company has reported for the next quarter

The first thing to look at is the results of the mobile division. Sony sold only 1 million smartphones in the past quarter. This is 300,000 less than a year earlier, but 67% more than in the previous quarter. And in general, this is the best quarter of the current financial year in terms of sales of Sony smartphones. Even more interesting, the division’s revenue remained almost unchanged over the year, which indicates a significant increase in the average selling price of a smartphone.

If we talk about the results of the company as a whole, the revenue amounted to 25.7 billion dollars against 23.45 billion a year earlier. Operating income grew 20% to $ 3.42 billion.

The Game & Network Services and Electronics Products & Solutions had the highest revenue figures: $ 8.41 and $ 6.18 billion, respectively.
