Last year, Sony launched the Reon Pocket wearable air conditioner at a collective funding site, and now the Japanese company has unveiled a successor, dubbed the Sony Reon Pocket 2.
The novelty looks similar to the original model, but has an improved design. The company claims that through the improvements, the air conditioner can offer twice the rate of heat absorption, resulting in more powerful cooling.
Sony also says the company has improved the sweat protection of the Reon Pocket 2, making it more suitable for light workouts. However, the device is not completely dust and waterproof. The original model, released last year, used silicon, but this time the company switched to SUS316L stainless steel. In addition, the novelty has received four temperature levels.
This time, the company has partnered with sportswear brands such as Le Coq Sportif, Munsingwear and Descente to produce a range of matching apparel.
Sony Reon Pocket 2 measures 54 x 20 x 116 mm and weighs 92 g. In Japan, the new product costs about $ 140.
