Sony Experia 5 II Opened Its Preorder, Though The New Sony Flagship Will Be Available By January 2021

Soon after Sony’s announcement to release its new flagship Experia 5 II (pronounced Xperia five mark two) in Malaysia, they began taking preorders for the new device as well.

The company has made some significant changes in its new model while retained some of the essential features from the previous ones.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which is an improvement over its previous ones.

The phone has a new button dedicated to the Google Assistant, which gets the user direct access to the program. It’s also a navigator to other functions.

The display is a 6.1 inch OLED which a tremendous refresh rate of 120 Hz which gives a much smoother refresh rate than a regular 60 Hz panel as the user swipes through the interface or find an app, along with a 1080p resolution.

The phone has a 240Hz sampling rate which promises a 25% faster touch response than the previous model.

The 1080p resolution may seem like a downgrade from the Experia 1 series having 4k display. This one has a much higher refresh rate which makes playing any game or watching a video on it more enjoyable.

The panel still looks sharp with 440ppi.

There is no under-display fingerprint reader like most of the Sony phones, but aside button which serves as a power button as well.

The speaker is placed below the screen rather than at the bottom of the device. It makes for more symmetrical sound pressure and phasing.

The feature of Dolby Atmos enhancer is also present in the phone which helps in improving the sound and sound quality for the telephone and loudness.

The phones come with 128Gbs or 250Gbs storage space options which is expandable.

The main back cameras are triple system having 12MP f/1,7 Exmor RS primary camera, another 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera along with a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera offering three times optical zoom option.

Zeiss provides the cameras for optical which include the Zeiss T* coatings. These coatings help in reducing the reflection.

The selfie camera is an 8MP.

The audio jack is 3.5mm with a long-lasting 4000mAh battery that can be charged up to 50% in 30 minutes when charged with a 21W charger.

For apps, you get some preinstalled like the sony music app. Also, the side sense is an additional advantage which lets you access some apps with just a double-tap at the side of the screen.

The pair shortcut can let you use two apps on the same 6.1-inch Gorilla Glass 6 screen side by side.

There also comes a game enhancer that lets you access your game evaluation while you are playing the game and enables you to modify as per your requirement.

The phone might heat up a little as you play a massive game on it, but there is no stuttering or lagging observed.

If you are planning on buying this new flagship from Sony, you might have to wait till January 2021, which is a little late than their initial December 2020 announcement.
