Sony’s flagship Bluetooth speaker SRS-RA5000 looks like a three-head razor

Sony has unveiled the flagship Bluetooth speaker SRS-RA5000 with a unique design. The device looks like a large electric razor with three shaving heads and is priced at over $700.

Sony claims that when designing the SRS-RA5000, the designers were thinking about using the speaker with home theater systems in terms of speaker placement. The wireless speaker holds 7 speakers. In addition to having multiple speakers, the speakers are positioned to provide a 6.1-channel surround sound experience.

In addition, it features an enhanced version of S-Master HX digital amplifier technology that supports higher-sampled music, as well as DSEE HX digital audio enhancement engine that upscales conventional quality sound to near-Hi-Res.

The Sony SRS-RA5000 uses high-performance neodymium magnets and mica fiber diaphragm materials to reduce sound distortion. The speaker comes in a combination of gold and black colors and supports 3.5mm wired connection, Bluetooth connection and QPlay for music playback. In addition, the device also supports NFC fast connection.
