According to TASS, very soon Russia may have its own online catalog platform with domestic software – a kind of analogue of the world-famous Microsoft Store and App Store. The plans to create a marketplace for Russian software products were announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev during an expanded meeting of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications.

“Now we have begun rebuilding the registry of Russian software, making it a full-fledged marketplace. We wanted to do it at the end of the year. Obviously, you will have to launch it much earlier. We hope that in May we will be able to launch the first version of such a marketplace.”– said Maksut Shadayev.
Recall that earlier the Ministry of Digital Development announced the launch of an experiment to create a repository of open source software solutions in Russia. The start was planned for May 1 of the current year, the completion – for April 30, 2024. Now, apparently, the work on this project will now be intensified.
