Sophie Turner recalled the discovery of your first pregnancy at 24 years old, and the uncertainty about whether to move forward or not.
She said she was on a retreat in Bali, Indonesia, when she took the pregnancy test: “It was my first day there and I had just met my roommate. Before we started talking, I told her I just needed to take a pregnancy test. I took the test and thought, 'I'm pregnant, what a pleasure to meet you,” she said in an interview with! British Vogue.
“Maybe because I was so young, I was thinking about it for a week. Luckily there were therapists there to help me talk it through,” she added.
When she returned home she told her then-husband Joe Jonas: “I remember throwing the pregnancy test at him and saying, 'What do you think we should do? Do you think we should stay?”
“When you're in your early 20s, life is so frivolous. At that point I didn't really know if I wanted to be a mother, but something changed in me that day. And I just knew I had to have it,” he added.
Her eldest daughter, Willa, was born in 2020. She also had Delphine during her marriage to Jonas, two years after the birth of her first daughter.
“They are so much fun, total little girls and absolute rays of sunshine in my life,” she added.
In the interview, she also spoke for the first time about the turbulent end of her marriage to Joe Jonas at the end of last year.
“I mean, those were the worst days of my life,” he recalled. She said she was finishing recording the series “Joan” and, therefore, was unable to find her children, who were in the United States with their father.
The actress then began to receive criticism for being a “too partying” mother, who was not spending enough time with her family, and began to be blamed for the divorce by public opinion.
“It hurt because I really completely torture myself with every move I make as a mom – mom guilt is so real! I just had to say to myself, 'None of this is true. You're a good mother and you've never been a party girl,'” she said.
