The Sorare platform licenses football players to issue collectible player cards in the form of ERC-721 tokens. Users collect their own “team” of players from different clubs, and the results of such a “team” are calculated in accordance with the results of real games. Now the platform contains cards of more than 180 clubs.
Users from Russia rank second in terms of activity on the Sorare platform. There are more than 40,000 of them, and the volume of transactions since the beginning of this year has exceeded $ 7 million.
Recall that in September, the Sorare startup completed a series B funding round, within which it received $ 680 million. After that, the company’s capitalization reached $ 6.3 billion. At the same time, in October, the British Gambling Commission began investigating the platform’s activities.
