The southern region of Brazil should face heavy rains this Saturday (16), according to the prediction of weather . The risk of thunderstorms is linked to a cold front that formed in the region, as well as in Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina.
The heavy clouds spread across these countries are expected to generate high levels of precipitation in most of Paraná and in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. According to Climatempo, the city of Florianopolis must have rain and lightning at night, since Curitiba No rain forecast at the moment.
Due to the excess of rains and the arrival of cooler air, temperatures are expected to drop in the region, especially from Sunday (17).
The Southeast and almost the entire Midwest should continue with firm weather this Saturday, with sun and high temperatures due to a dry air mass. The exception is Mato Grosso do Sul, which should also be affected by the cold front and may experience rain.
In the North, the south of Rondônia and the states of Pará and Tocantins should have strong sun, without rain. The forecast for the rest of the region is for increased cloudiness from Saturday, with showers and lightning in the afternoon and evening.
For the Northeast, Climatempo expects rain showers on the coast of Maranhã, Piauà and Ceará. Rain is also forecast for Rio Grande do Norte, east-central ParaÃba and Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe and the northeast and coast of Bahia.
Among the alerts issued by Climatempo this Saturday is the risk of heavy rain in Porto Alegre, João Pessoa, Natal, São LuÃs, Belém, Macapá and Boa Vista, in addition to the risk of thunderstorms in Rio Grande do Sul, west of Santa Catarina, north of Amapá and north of Roraima.
There is also an alert for very dry air, with humidity levels between 12% and 20%, for Goiás, Distrito Federal, east of Mato Grosso, Tocantins, north of São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul and in the Triângulo Mineiro and west of Minas Gerais.
