South Korea: 747 cases and 2 deaths due to COVID-19 in one day

Its principles South Korea announced today that as of midnight yesterday Thursday 747 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed, while 2 patients with COVID-19 succumbed.

The new coronavirus pandemic in the Asian country at this stage amounts to 1,893 deaths out of a total of 130,380 infections. The mortality rate decreased to 1.45%.

The number of cases increased from 715 the previous day; it remained above the level of 700 for the second consecutive day. The average number of cases last week was 619, reports AMPE.

At least 3,719,983 people have been vaccinated since the mass immunization campaign in South Korea began on February 26. Of these, 825,700 have received the second.
