US spy chief Avril Haynes will be in South Korea to meet with President Yun Suk-yeol tomorrow amid rising tensions on the Korean peninsula and a recent pact between Moscow and Pyongyang promising closer military ties, reports say today’s South Korean newspaper article. Haynes will meet with Yun and discuss deepening Russia-North Korea relations and Pyongyang’s provocative moves, the Joongang Ilbo newspaper reported, citing an unnamed national security official. The meeting will be informal and there are no plans to make their discussions public, the official said. Yun’s office said it could not confirm the report.
