Brazil opened 196,966 formal job openings in April, according to Caged data released this Monday (6th). Of the total, 101,279 new jobs were created in the Southeast region, which represents an increase of 0.48% in relation to the previous month.
Soon after, the Northeast appears, with 29,813 posts (+0.45%), the Center-West, which had 25,598 (+0.72%), the South, with 25,102 (+0.32%) and the North, which registered 12,023 formal job vacancies (+0.62%)
The state with the highest balance in the month was São Paulo, which registered 53,818 new jobs, representing more than 1/4 of the formal job vacancies noted in April by Caged.
The states of Rio de Janeiro, with 22,403 new jobs created, and Minas Gerais, with 20,059 jobs, complete the podium.
On the other hand, the federative units with the lowest balance were Roraima (with 405 posts), Alagoas (with a drop of 181 posts) and Pernambuco (with fewer 807 posts).
Services lead hiring
The data showed a positive balance in four of the five monitored groups, especially services, with 117,007 new posts.
In second place comes commerce, with 29,261 new jobs, followed by industry (26,378 jobs) and construction (25,341 jobs). Agriculture, livestock, forestry, fishing and aquaculture lost 1,021 jobs.
