The southern region of the country, especially Santa Catarina and Paraná, has suffered from heavy rains this October.
In an interview with CNN Radio Climatempo meteorologist Fabiene Casamento said that the forecast is that large volumes will continue to occur in all states, including Rio Grande do Sul.
“The forecast is for rain in the form of thunderstorms, with a chance of hail, in more areas of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Santa Catarina.”
According to her, it has rained between 300 and 500 millimeters this month, in “the wettest October since 2017.”
“The trend is for instability to continue until next Friday (21)”, he said.
Southeast
In São Paulo, there is already instability coming from the west of the state, with moderate to heavy rainfall.
Fabiene said that in the southern half of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro there is also a risk of storms until the end of the week.
North East
In the Northeast, there are transient blows in the western half of Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará and moderate blows on the coast from Rio Grande do Norte to Sergipe.
According to the meteorologist, the weather will be firm, with a feeling of heat, in the interior of the Northeast.
Midwest
In the Midwest, there is also a forecast of heavy rains over the weekend, starting on Friday.
