Soyuzmultfilm presented the first Russian animated series based on comics

The Soyuzmultfilm film studio together with the Okko online cinema presented a new animated series “Krutiksy” based on the comic book series of the same name published by Bubble Comics – the creators of Major Thunder. According to the Bulletin of the Kinoprokatchika publication, the studio’s producer and director Alexander Bizyaev, the editor-in-chief of the publishing house Roman Kotkov and one of the scriptwriters of the film Major Thunder: The Plague Doctor Yevgeny Yeronin worked on the project.

“Krutiksy” is a comedy series with fantasy elements for children 6-8 years old. It will show the adventures of the hamster Ziggy and the squirrel Ruby, who endow the dog Roy and the cat Sol with super powers and take them with them into space. Next, a team of superheroes attend classes at the Star Academy and protect the inhabitants of the planets from the Iron Harpy. At the moment, 7 episodes of 52 episodes have been created, each 11 minutes long. The first six will start showing on October 10 on the Okko platform and on the Multilandia channel.

Yuliana Slashcheva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soyuzmultfilm, noted that for the film studio this is the first experience of creating an animated series based on comics. In addition, The Krutiks will be the first horizontal / vertical series to feature one complete story in each episode, while retaining a single, end-to-end narrative. Together with the premiere of the animated series, the comics “Krutiksy” – reprinted old and new issues, will again go on sale.
