S&P 500 Index Opens Higher for Third Day in a Row Supported by Tech Stocks

The main US stock indices opened in positive territory for the third day in a row on Thursday, as risk flows continue to dominate financial markets. At time of writing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.34% on the day to 32,405, the S&P 500 Index was up 0.65% to 3,924 and the Nasdaq Composite was up 1.62% to 12,958.

Among the top 11 sectors in the S&P 500, the risk-sensitive technology index is up 1.5% as the highest percentage gain on early trading. In addition, the Communication Services Index has risen 1.06%.
