A League of Samba Schools of São Paulo responsible for São Paulo Carnival will define the order of parades for 2025 this Saturday (18), from 7pm. Unlike previous years, the sequence will not be established by prize draw but by choosing schools based on their positions in the 2024 parades.
The event is open to the public and will take place at Fábrica do Samba, in the north of São Paulo. Entry will be made by donating 1kg of non-perishable food or R$10 — proceeds will be donated to Rio Grande do Sul.
The live broadcast will be made on Liga-SP's Youtube, including the pocket show of the 32 samba schools, the group Fundo de Quintal and Keilla Regina. At this event, the sequence of presentations by the Special, Access 1 and Access 2 groups will be defined.
The order of the 2025 Carnival parades will be defined based on the choice of schools, starting with those that won in 2024. Example: Mocidade Alegre — which came first this year — will be the first to choose which day and position it wants Then introduce yourself to Dragões da Real, and so on. The same format will be used for the other groups.
In March, Liga-SP replaced all jurors who worked in 2024 to “further improve the evaluation process” in the 2025 presentations, according to a statement. The decision was taken unanimously in an assembly with the presidents of schools in the Special, Access 1 and 2I groups.
