SP Champions Parade: see which schools return to Anhembi on Saturday (17)

Nine samba schools return, on Saturday (17), to the Anhembi Sambódromo, in the north of São Paulo, for the 2024 Parade of Champions.

The top five placed in the Special Group, the first two placed in Access Group 1 and the top two placed in Access Group 2, defined in the counting carried out on Tuesday (13) will parade again.

Mocidade Alegre was the champion of the São Paulo Carnival elite, followed by Dragões da Real, Acadêmicos do Tatuapé, Gaviões da Fiel and Mancha Verde.

Star of the Third Millennium and Colorado do Brás were the champion and runner-up, respectively, of Access Group 1. X-9 Paulistana and Unidos de São Lucas were in the first two places in the third division.

There is still no official confirmation of the Champions Parade schedule from the Independent League of Samba Schools of São Paulo (Liga-SP). If you follow the latest editions, this should be the order of Saturday's parade:

  1. United of Saint Luke
  2. X-9 Paulistana
  3. Colorado do Brás
  4. Star of the Third Millennium
  5. Gaviões da Fiel
  6. Green Spot
  7. Tatuapé Academics
  8. Royal Dragons
  9. Joyful Youth

There is, however, the expectation that the parade order will be changed, since the Liga-SP, for security reasons highlighted by public bodies, must create a greater distance between Gaviões da Fiel and Mancha Verde. The two schools come from organized fans of rival teams, Corinthians and Palmeiras.

The broadcast will be carried out by TV Cultura, which will show the Parade of Champions live from 11pm. Liga-SP is also expected to broadcast the first schools on its YouTube channel.

Tickets for the grandstand are sold out. There are also entrances to cabins and track chairs available for sale.
