The City Hall of São Paulo announced, this Monday (4th), that it will suspend the municipal vehicle rotation next Friday (8th), in order to amend the Independence Day of Brazil.
The measure signed by the municipal secretary of Mobility and Traffic, Celso Gonçalves Barbosa, was published in the Official Gazette of São Paulo this Monday.
Trucks continue to have to obey the license plate rotation and other restrictions, such as the Maximum Restriction Zone for Truck Circulation (ZMRC) and the Maximum Restriction Zone for Chartering (ZMRF).
When in effect, the municipal vehicle rotation restricts the circulation of cars in the expanded center of São Paulo between 7:00 am and 10:00 am and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at night. Cars are prohibited from circulating in the area on one of the days of the week, depending on the end of the license plate.
