SP City Hall suspends vehicle rotation this Wednesday (3) due to bus strike

The City Hall of São Paulo (SP) suspended the municipal vehicle rotation for this Wednesday (3) due to the strike of bus drivers and fare collectors in the city.

Vehicles with license plates ending in 5 and 6, which were originally not allowed to circulate between 7am and 10am and 5pm and 8pm, are now allowed to do so. Failure to comply with the rule usually results in a fine of R$130.

In addition to the suspension of the rotation by the Traffic Engineering Company (CET), Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) declared a public holiday in the capital of São Paulo.

An SPTrans Operations Center was set up from 6 am this Wednesday to monitor the strike.

The union stated that new negotiations could take place if a positive counterproposal is sent by the employers’ union.
