One person drowned and 122 others were drowning on the beaches of the coast of São Paulo, during the worker holiday, between May 1st and 4th. The balance was released by the Maritime Firefighters Group (GBMAR) on Monday (5).
The fatal victim was an elderly, 68 years old, in the municipality of São Sebastião, in the north coast of the state, last Saturday (3). The victim was at sea with his grandson at the moment they fell into a return chain.
Two surfers offered their boards to take the victims to the sand. Guardianship firefighters participated in the rescue and requested the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu)
In Guarujá, 44 people were rescued and in Ubatuba, on the north coast, 36 people were saved. Ilhabela and the island fulfilled were the only municipalities, among those disclosed, who did not record any drowning occurrence.
