SP defines protocols for Carnival parade in the sambadrome; see the measurements

The city of São Paulo released this Wednesday (19) the health protocol that must be followed in the samba school parades during the 2022 Carnival, due to the increase in the number of cases of Covid-19.

Despite the definition of the measures to be followed, the responsible entities do not dispense with the possibility of postponing the event, if the epidemiological scenario in the capital changes.

In this case, the Health Surveillance Coordination (Covisa), São Paulo Turismo (SpTuris) and LigaSP will meet again to establish possible changes.

Among the measures announced by the municipal health department are:

  • Vaccination passport requirement for the public;
  • Maximum occupancy limit of 70% of public capacity in all sectors, including bleachers, cabins and track;
  • Pre-registration of parade components with the Vaccine Passport, which will also be required for paraders;
  • Mandatory use of a mask for marchers and spectators;
  • Reduction in the number of components per school;
  • Audience control in concentration and dispersion and recommendations for technical rehearsals and meetings on the courts.

The event organizers will be responsible — by signing a term of commitment — for complying with the established protocol, together with employees, suppliers and the public.
