SP inaugurates the largest trail in the city: see 5 routes around the capital

The city of São Paulo inaugurated the largest trail in the capital: The Interparks Trail . The route has 182 kilometers long and connects areas of environmental conservation and ecotourism in the South Zone. The news is a launch of the São Paulo City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat of Green and the Environment (SVMA).

Despite being the largest in São Paulo, there are other trails around the city and in the state that are also worth checking out. With that in mind, check out locations with the most diverse levels of difficulties – some of which reach waterfalls.

Interpark trail


182 kilometers long, Interpark trail Integrates Municipal Natural Parks (PNMS), State Parks, Dams, Private Natural Heritage Reserves (RPPN) and the Ecotourism Pole of Parelheiros, Marsilac and Ilha do Bororé. The entrance is free.

The route begins at the ferry of Bororé Island, Grajaú, and goes through points such as the PNMS Bororé, Varginha, Itaim and Jaceguava, as well as Embu-Guaçu State Park, PNM Crater de Colônia, Serra do Mar State Park-Curucutu Nucleus and RPPN Curucutu, returning to the starting point.

In addition to the extensive green area, the trail offers contemplation and leisure points in the midst of nature. On the way, visitors can take advantage of piares overlooking the Billings Dam, a panorama fires observation tower for Guarapiranga and areas intended for picnics.

Source trail


In the Botanical Garden of São Paulo, about 40 minutes from the center of São Paulo, the Source trail made with reforestation wood, is 500 meters long. The route lasts about 30 minutes and offers a lookout for photos.

As the region is the third largest piece of Atlantic Forest in the state, it is possible to observe birds and flora. Inaugurated in 2006, one of the goals of the trail is to try to reduce the tourist impact on what is left of native vegetation.
