The resignation of at least 30 coordinators of Inep, the body responsible for Enem, the questioning of former minister Sergio Moro’s defense to the STF on the way Bolsonaro’s testimony was collected by the Federal Police and the state of São Paulo, completing 24 hours without Covid-19 death records are some of the highlights of this Monday, November 8th night.

Collective dismissal at Inep

At least 30 coordinators of Inep, the body responsible for Enem, asked for collective dismissal. They allege mismanagement of the institute, which is linked to the Ministry of Education and which carries out all public examinations for evaluating teaching in Brazil.

Delinquency Petition

The defense of former minister Sergio Moro sent a petition to the STF in which he questions the way in which Bolsonaro’s testimony was collected by the Federal Police in the investigation that investigates the alleged interference of the president in the PF. Moro’s lawyers complain that Bolsonaro’s speech was restricted to the agency only.

Arthur Lira

The president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), sent a manifestation to the Federal Supreme Court defending the overturn of the preliminary injunction of Minister Rosa Weber, in the action that deals with the suspension of the execution of the appeals from the rapporteur’s amendments. Lira still wants the payments for the rapporteur’s amendments to remain in effect until the judgment of the lawsuits.

Zero deaths by Covid-19 in SP

For the first time, the state of São Paulo completes 24 hours without records of death by Covid-19. The occupancy rate of ICU beds in the state is 24.5%.

Daniel Silveira’s arrest revoked

STF minister Alexandre de Moraes revoked the arrest of Daniel Silveira and ordered precautionary measures. Among them, the prohibition of contact with others investigated in the fake news investigation and the prohibition of access to social networks. Silveira was arrested for attacks against Supreme Ministers.
